Just some more random stuff that fills my SD cards!

Jaislynn is such a cutie I thought this outfit was very fitting!

Josh & Maycee keeping Jaislynn entertained once again!

This is what it looks like when we're headed out on a cold day! Thanks Aunt Chawnta for the car seat cover, we love it!

We started cereal in January and she loves it! She is so animated when she eats she talks the whole time! I'll try to figure out how to post a video it is so cute!

Here Jaislynn is in her chair from Great Grandma, she really likes it now. At first she wasn't too fond if it, she had to grow into it!

Ok I love this picture because Joshua is SO happy with the Iron man outfit he got from us for Christmas. He had been asking and asking every time we would go into walmart for this. I had kept telling him he would just have to wait and see if he got it for Christmas, this was very hard for him since he was sure he wasn't going to get it. I hope he may have learned a little about delayed gratification here.

Cody was pretty happy since he kinda knew what was in his big box, thanks to seeing my ebay order. I'll have to be even more sneaky next year!

I just really like this picture of my Dad, Heath, and Caleb. We had a good time with yet another Christmas celebration with family at our house. We had a total of 5 different Christmas celebrations! I have to figure out a way to combine them more, it is just too hard to do that!

Vicki came home a lot over the holidays and was loving spending time holding Jaislynn. Every time I turned around she had her!

Here she looks a little surprised by the flash. This is the Christmas outfit that Grandma Lea got her, very cute and comfy!

Girls waiting their turn at our Christmas here at home.

Austin showing off one of his gifts, he loves clothes -very easy kid to please!

Maycee with her new coat, she was very easy to buy for this year too. I am pretty lucky so far they are not that picky, and happy with whatever I choose!

Joshua trying to skype Aunt Chawnta on his own. He loves being able to talk to her on the headset and see her on the computer at the same time! He pretends to call her a lot!

Here is Iron man, I have to say the box is really deceiving as it looks as though you are getting a chest plate and a mask, not this ugly body suit. Josh was happy so whatever.

Ok when you have big sister that goes to college, you can pretty much get her to do anything for you when she comes home. Joshua misses Vicki horribly so when she's home he is constantly with her! He asked "will you put a tent up and we can camp in it?" So she did, and they did camp out, well for most of the night anyways!

We let him keep his tent up for a week. He pretty much moved in. He took newspapers, a chair, 4blankets, 2sleepingbags, a gallon of water, a flashlight, a calculator, a desk lamp, and lots and lots of toys. He was devastated when we had to finally clean it out and take it down. I was amazed at how clean and organized he kept all that stuff.

Chawnta was home for Jaislynn's dedication (future post for that, I promise) and was playing the piano for her. Jaislynn loved it!

This is what happens when I leave the room for a few minutes!

I have such a little happy morning person, she is helping me to become one! This is Jaislynn at 7am, all smiles!

Jaislynn found her toes, and now loves to be barefoot and just relax and play with them.

Joshua was in bed one night and I told him he could not come downstairs. When I went to check on him this is what I found. He listened very well, he apparently sat on the stairs until he fell asleep, never coming down!

This was my first view of him asleep on the stairs.

He got this fire fighter helmet for Christmas too. It was pretty cool with a little speaker that would amplify your voice, just wish it wouldn't have broke so soon. It only made it a week. I should've tried to take it back to walmart! He has a spare so he's happy!

Just Jaislynn being cute.

Jaislynn was fighting a cold, I needed to go do something in the kitchen so I asked Josh to talk to her and keep her happy for a few minutes. When I came back this is what I found. I doubt she will ever be bored with Joshua as her brother. I am constantly telling him to "please leave her alone when she is sleeping". He just wants to have her awake to play with all the time!

Here is better photo of the Mohawk that Vicki styled for Jaislynn. Poor baby!

Just blowing raspberries at me.

Joshua and Jaislynn caught just visiting, they love to talk to each other. I never imagined that Josh would be such a great big brother. If I were to give some one advice on having children, and how far apart is best, I think it would be 41/2 yrs -it seems perfect!

This is Jaislynn all ready for another day out. She just looks so cute I have to snap a photo every chance I get!

I am still learning how to post here on blogger, I will say I had about 5 other photos posted and when I tried to space them, it just deleted them. I think next time I will try a different browser. So we will see if that makes a difference.

Some cute things that Joshua has said in the past couple days I want to share:

His Nana came over on Monday and he was playing with a rope, I don't know why he has thousands and thousands of toys, but prefers just a ordinary rope some days. He had it draped around his shoulders, and around the back of his neck. She told him to be careful not to get it around his neck so he would choke. His response " Oh Nana, you don't have to worry about me, I am really educated so I will be alright."

Last night when I was getting him settled for bed he was going on and on about why he needs a pet pig.(I have got to hide the Charlotte's Web dvd, I think he's watched it a few too many times) He says " I have about had it with Lucky (our almost 13 yr old cat) she doesn't like to play anymore, so I think we should just trade her for a baby pig" " I think pigs are better than cats, don't you mom?" It took awhile but I finally got him settled with telling him we could maybe visit some pigs at a farm, but that we can't have pet pigs in town, because its against the rules. He is ready to move to a farm!

Kansas Christmas at Grandma's

Our December was a crazy busy month! I really do not know how it came and went so fast! I am going to try hard to start to catch up, so all our friends and family can be updated on the "Hicks Happenings". For Christmas we headed to my Grandma Lea's in Kansas, it was such a good time with family. And now Grandma even has the internet, so she is starting to check my blog, and do email. That is so exciting! Here are a few of the photos from our time there.

Here is Grandma Lea with her youngest Great-Granddaughter, Jaislynn.

This being Jaislynn's first Christmas I took A LOT of pictures of her, so be prepared for some major cuteness!!

Everything always looks so nice at Grandma's, she works so hard to make her home so inviting! We tell her EVERY year not to buy gifts, that we just want to get together and enjoy each others company. She does not listen very well!

I like to go around randomly taking pictures of everyone and what they are doing. It is what I do for fun, and to help capture the memories a little more while I am at it. This is Cody and Heath playing cards, and Caleb checking something out on the computer...I know pretty exciting hugh?!

Just another shot of Jaislynn. She had some cute outfits so I had to get pictures in each of them!

Let the paper fly! We have this system with opening gifts we always go youngest to oldest, everyone watches you, it's so much fun!

Jason and Jaislynn on Christmas eve.

Did I mention that my Grandma goes overboard on everything?! But in a good way!

Ok so here is an example of how she spoils us.....check out all this delicious food. We do not just have one salad choice but like 8-10, and huge relish tray, fruit tray, lots of different kinds of sides, 3 meats.....she is amazing, I tell you!

She had made 7 different kinds of pies, and then there were also Christmas sugar cookies, brownies, and cakes- I think 2 of those!

"Austin smile"

Jaislynn slept through so much noise, it was amazing!

We ate a lot....guess it was more like grazing! Here are the girls, they were not thrilled I was taking pictures of them eating!

I LOVE this picture of Cody! He is actually smiling! It doesn't hurt that he got that awesome hoodie!

Uncle Lynn and Cody eating, and just loving me for taking their picture!

Austin, Isai, and Lynn just relaxing.

Tim, Ashley, and Heath eating, they are really going to ban me from walking around with a camera at the next family get together!

You can tell from Chawnta's forced smile they are getting sick of me, but they are nice and do not say much!

Stop Maycee and say "cheese"

Chef Joshua preparing something chocolate I am sure!

Nana and Josh having a "tea party"

Uncle Ray & Aunt Janet you look so happy!

More beautiful baby on her first Christmas

Austin was getting tired by the end of the present time.

Caleb so loving me at this moment, you know I love you too that is why I bug you all the time!

Beautiful Chawnta on Christmas day.

Sweet kisses from the proudest big brother EVER!

I counted the stockings that Gram had stuffed and hanging in the basement when we got there, 34-wow!And I struggle to find stuff to do 5!

I just LOVE this one- for obvious reasons!

My Dad is always taking pictures or video for someone, this time I caught him doing both at the same time-you are so awesome!

Jason took my camera for a bit while I fed Jaislynn, then he took this picture of us, I am SO glad he did! Now she has a picture with her Dad & her Mom on her first Christmas.

Just something to think about.....

A friend posted this on facebook, I agree wholeheartedly.....see what you think!!
