Summer Fun

Austin helping Josh swim

Maycee being cute she is quite the fish, she swims with her eyes open and ends up having bloodshot eyes the rest of the day.
She reminds me of myself when I was a little girl!

Austin at the deep end.
He has been going off the high drive this year!

Joshua loves to swim in the big pool as long
as he has a life jacket on, he does a great job!

I have to sneak pictures of Cody from the deck,
he has to wear these silly nose plugs, always has though,
he can not stand water going up his nose!

Vacation Bible School

Cody, Austin, Maycee, and Joshua all went to VBS at Hamlet Union church last week. They had a great time and learned a lot too! Cody helped with games since he was "too old" to actually go to a class. Our friend Nada was so awesome she gave the kids a ride too and from every day! I was so happy that I could go to the church website and download these pictures to my computer....enjoy!

More Maycee.....

Almost done......she was soo happy!
She had been looking forward to this for a long time!
The finished results......
She had to pose a little behind my mom's tulips....

Maycee Chawnta Michelle

Maycee had been growing out her hair to donate to Locks of Love. She wanted my Mom to be the one to cut it. This is her second time to do this. I am very proud of her. I am also happy not to have to brush and fix so much hair every day.

Two years with just trims, and one cut will get you hair this long if you are blessed.

We decided to braid it this time since she had a extra 2 inches than what is needed.

The first cut, it only took three or four to have the braid off!

Almost Done....

Josh, Josh, & more Josh.....Don't worry I will spotlight each child in the up comming post!

A few more Birthday pictures....

Presents from Great Grandma Lea, he loves the bouncing ball. There are days when it seems to be his only form of transportation everywhere around the house......it's pretty funny!

He was sooo happy to get this Bike!

This is the actual morning of his Birthday March 31! He took a bath, and like always had to have his froggy towel, be wrapped in a blanket, then watch part of a movie to get warmed up before he can get dressed. This kid is not spoiled at all!

Still playing catch up with everyone!!!

I am going to attempt to catch up on all our events over the past 6-8 weeks that have kept us so busy! I am still getting the hang of this blogging stuff, so please bear with me! I had posted a photo of Austin & Josh wearing their John Deer shirts, and now its gone since I tried to move it down. Guess I'll try to post that later, they looked so cute!

March 30th we celebrated Joshua's 4th Birthday. We had to have the party inside since the weather was not cooperating. He had his heart set on the park, so did I since we were giving him a bike and I knew he would have a lot of fun being able to ride all around at the park. It all worked out ok though, and he said it was great, so that is all that really matters! It was nice to have some family and friends all together for a couple hours to honor him. We played pin the tail on the donkey, balloon pop relay, and had a pinata.

Here he is with his cake....I LOVE this picture!!

Vicki & Joshua's sidewalk art

Joshua & Vicki love to use sidewalk chalk. Here is some of their latest work.

Pictures

The last time we had a snow day, I think it was March 17th, Joshua asked Vicki to build him a house in the living room with blankets. He usually can get her to do whatever he wants, I think she's wrapped around his finger! I had forgotten about it until today I came across Vicki's Camera, and saw the pictures. I know this last one is sideways, however I just couldn't believe how blue Joshua's eyes were, and wanted to share! He was very proud of his house as you can see and we kept it up an entire day!

Cody's Verse for April

I thought I would share Cody's verse for this month. He has to have it memorized by the end of the month as one of his requirements for honor role. I think we all could benefit from tying to follow this. Myself included.

James 3:2-12

We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boast. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue is also a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and itself set on fire by hell.

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can salt spring produce fresh water.
